Executives of OSRAM Opto Semiconductors visited Wuxi

Aug. 9th, Mayor Huang Qin met with new CEO of OSRAM Opto Semiconductors and had an in-depth exchange on furthering the cooperation. Wang Jinjian, Deputy Mayor of Wuxi, Secretary of the Party Working Committee of Wuxi National High-Tech Zone and Secretary of CPC Xinwu District Committee, and Zhang Mingkang, Secretary General of Wuxi Municipal People’s Government, also attended the meeting.

OSRAM Opto Semiconductors, as the best performing and most innovative company in OSRAM, has been focusing on optoelectronics business for more than 40 years and enjoys a high reputation worldwide. Looking back, a sound foundation has been laid for bilateral cooperation. Huang Qin said that in recent years, the all-round strategic partnership between China and Germany has been continuously consolidated and developed. Wuxi enjoys close cooperation and long-standing relations with German enterprises, and is very willing to deepen cooperation with OSRAM. It’s hoped that OSRAM will deploy its R&D center and more new products and projects in Wuxi to expand the broader Chinese market.

New CEO of OSRAM Opto Semiconductors thanked Wuxi for its long-term support to OSRAM's development. He said that during his visit to Wuxi base, he was deeply impressed by both the production technology and the production efficiency; in particular, Wuxi base maintained a good cooperative relationship with Chinese universities, which created favorable conditions for enterprises to recruit graduates and highly skilled talents and provided strong support for the further development of enterprises. Currently, OSRAM is striving towards the goal of being the best in the world in the industry. OSRAM attaches great importance to the Chinese market and is full of confidence in the future development. OSRAM hopes to work together and push bilateral cooperation to a new level.
