Wuxi is one of 13 First Approved National Bases for Cultural Export and is also acknowledged as National Intellectual Property Demonstration City. Wuxi National Industrial Design Park, as China’s first state level industrial design park, has formed a complete industrial design and R&D structure with a connotation of product design, architecture design, art design, IC design, model design, industrial computer application design, sophisticated parts design and automobile industrial equipment design.

Wuxi National Digital Film Industrial Park (Wuxi Studio), mainly focuses on the development of digital film shooting and post production with modern technologies, now has a cluster of more than 600 domestic and international renowned film companies and studios, such as Ciwen Media, Filmko Pictures and Base FX. More than 700 films and TV plays (Star War 7, Transformers: Age of Extinction, and Operation Red Sea ). In 2018, the total value of Wuxi Studio’s out-put reached RMB 5.5 billion.

As the origin of Wu Culture, Wuxi is a beautiful tourism city with the Grand Canal (one of the world’s cultural heritages) running through the city. In 2018, Wuxi welcomed 133.8 million tourists from home and abroad with 50 scenic areas capable of receiving 100 thousand tourists every year, 3 AAAAA, and 27 AAAA scenic areas. Wuxi has been ranked among the Top 10 Leisure Tour Cities and the Top 10 Sports Tour Destinations in China, and is the first National Cultural Tourism Resort, earning the highest tourist satisfaction for 4 consecutive years.

The first tourist maker fund, Wuxi Leyou Cultural Innovation Fund with a total scale of RMB 1 billion, has been officially released.
